Art threads Show at the Tett Extended

Show hours will be Saturday April 15th 10-5; Sunday April 16th 10-3; Monday April 17th 10-3 with the show closing at 3:00pm. Please note the Tett Centre is closed Good Friday, April 14th. The Kingston Fibre Artists are pleased with the wonderful turnout so far – thank you so much!

The Kingston Fibre Artists opening of Art Threads at the Tett today (Saturday March 18) was so well attended that there was barely room to move at times! We are pleased that fibre art is being so well received. The show continues until April 13 at 5pm.

You are cordially invited to the Opening Reception of our annual show and sale, Art Threads, at the Tett Centre Community Gallery on Saturday, March 18 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.  Art Threads showcases new work by our members, including a challenge to create pieces primarily with paper.

Art Threads is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.  To arrange a gallery tour, please contact info@kingstonfibreartists.ca

Every work of art is unique, created to exist not just for itself, but to be loved. Studio 22 is proud to launch its 2017 Season with the group exhibition, I Love THIS PIECE. The show features singular works from the past collections of 30 artists. Each work has been selected by the artist because it represents a piece which they feel deeply about; works which have yet to find their soulmates.

A show and sale of new works by Linda Coulter & Janine Gates, two fibre artists who met in the Fibre Arts Program at St. Lawrence College and became fast friends. For both, fibre art is a journey and an adventure – taking risks to expand their horizons and to learn and grow as artists. They find joy  in being explorers – using stitch, dye, paint, felt, paper and mixed media to capture ideas, stories, and feelings.

Gallery Hours: 9 am to 8pm daily & 10am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday

Tour Historic Fairfield-Gutzeit House in the Village of Bath while visiting these talented fibre artists displaying their latest works available for purchase. This unique artisan showcase includes weaving, quilting, spinning, jewellery, woodworking and art to wear!
