I started hand sewing when I was 6 or 7 and learned to use a sewing machine from my mother. When I was 16, I bought the portable Bernina I still use for classes. I’ve always loved sewing clothing and in 1978 started a business manufacturing designs for disabled adults. After 30 years in that business I retired. Now I work on more artistic endeavors.
I love quilting and still make lots of clothes. In the early 80’s I became intrigued with ‘faux chenille’ I love the creation of new colours from stacking up fabric and the lush texture that results.
I live in the country on a lake and enjoy a huge vegetable garden. I take inspiration from my surroundings…the forms and texture of nature
