Hilary Scanlon

Hilary is a leading figure in the Kingston fibre art world. She has her City and Guilds in Creative Embroidery and has taught fibre art for over 25 years. She has also coordinated the Fibreworks workshops for more than 20 years, and founded this group, the Kingston Fibre Artists, in 1997.
She exhibits regularly in group shows, both juried and invitational, including “Opus” in London, UK and Quilts=Art=Quilts in the USA. In Canada she contributes to Threadworks and the Grand National Quilt Show.
Hilary continues to actively search for excellence in the textile field, taking courses, researching new material, networking, and encouraging newcomers to create with fibre.
