Phillida Hargreaves

Art is the way I keep my balance in a changing world. I am drawn to both the natural and urban environment, and in each it is the sense of scale and balance that interests me.

However, balance does not mean stasis. I know the world is constantly changing, but I still strive to find a point of temporary equilibrium. The process of creating my art brings me closer to that state and offers a small island of calm for the viewer.
